Taman Ayun in Mengwi. We began our driving tour of, Bali with a stop at this temple.
This time, we had a group of young boys following us about and laughing.

Margana
is a war memorial for soldiers that died fighting for Balinese independence. Josh
and some resident boys had a reenactment when he put on his wrestling mask and
chased them around the gardens.

After
a quick stop at Pura Luhur Batukau, which had a misty, lost temple appeal, and
a run-in with a giant Balinese spider that was annoyed with Rachel for throwing
leaves into his web, we found ourselves at Pura Tanh Lot. It is a beautiful temple
on a pedestal in the middle of the water along the coast. There we sat and watched
the sunset......... of course.
